Karnofsky Score

performance status score evaluation.

an attempt to quantify a patient’s  general well-being. Evalutates a patient’s ability to accomplish activities of daily living and routine tasks.

The scale runs from 0 to 100; a score below 60 typically indicates that significant assistance and care is required.

Used in oncology and palliative care.
