Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)
A diagnostic test that combines endoscopy with x-rays to view the pancreatic ducts and bile ducts.
Insertion of an endoscope through the mouth into the duodenum and bile ducts. Dye is sent through the tube into the ducts. The dye makes the ducts show up on an x-ray.
Used to diagnose conditions of the bile ducts and pancreas
Procedure also used to remove gall stones blocking the common bile duct.
