Arthritis and Dermatitis Syndrome
An arthropathy caused by N gonorrhoeae.
- tenosynovitis (inflammation of a tendon and its enveloping sheath)
- skin rash
- Physical Exam
- a positive blood culture
- most often an asymmetric polyarthralgia
- asymmetric joint involvement frequently affects the knee, elbow, wrist, metacarpophalangeal, ankle joints.
- often pts develop a monoarthralgia only
Treatment and Management:
- treatment of Nesseria Gonorrhoeae infection
- symptom management
